Greater Look at the Celebrities of New Rochelle NY

Ruby Dee and the late Ossie Davis - Both were/are long time humanitarians, actors, and there is at present a theater named after Mr. Davis at our Public Library.

Andrea McArdle - Broadway's original "Annie" - hello - remember New Rochelle is just 45 minutes from Broadway - as the saying goes..

Robert Merrill - operatic baritone - who might sing at each home Yankee game..his home just as of late sold for $1,375,000
Andrea Mitchell - Journalist - As you walk along the passageways of our New Rochelle High school, look at here a pleasant photo of Ms. Mitchell gladly showed. Ms. Mitchell is the NBC Chief Foreign Affairs Correspondent, and is also the host of MSNBC's "Andrea Mitchell Reports." Andrea obtained her B.A. from University of Pa. and is at present hitched to former Federal Reserve Board Chairman Alan Greenspan.
Gil Schwartz fills in as Executive Vice President and Chief Communications Officer for CBS and went to our secondary school - going onto Brandeis University.
Louis Boccardi - He was the President and CEO of the Associated Press until his retirement in 2003 - while this rundown is in no real request, I am writing the unbelievably to mind. Both Mr. Schwartz and Mr. Boccardi's names are synonymous (to me) as they kindly went about as moderators through the span of 7 years at our local "CelebriTeas" which were great, intellectually stimulating occasions where we had acclaimed creators, (for example, Charles Grodin, Richard Ben Cramer, Arthur Golden, Jill Ker Conway, Ben Yagoda, Rupert Holmes, Doris Mortman, Walter Isaacson to name a couple) to fund-raise for our awesome library.
Nick Gregory - is a meteorologist for Fox 5 in New York City. I can recall numerous years prior (approx. 22 - yowser!) that I, along with another companion, asked that he address our understudies at the local William B. Ward Elementary School. He kindly obliged, and the youngsters enormously delighted in seeing a celebrity and learning from him and how he achieved his goals. Obviously, it didn't hurt when he said a 'welcome' to them later that day from his TV appear!
Norman Rockwell - numerous individuals don't realize that New Rochelle was a craftsman's settlement as such path, harking back to the 1930s. Norman Rockwell, and numerous other specialists and illustrators lived in this incredible city. Mr. Rockwell's former home sold for $1.6M in 2005, and highlighted a gallery overlooking one of the substantial rooms. It was a charming home, loaded with meandering hallways and appeal.
